About Me — Far From Fine Film
I am a hobbyist-freelance photographer based in Los Angeles, California, specializing in film photography and portraiture. While studying psychology at Wesleyan University, my Photo I and II classes introduced me to the darkroom allowing me to explore my photographic eye. During a final critique, a professor once told me that my work is “far from fine art.” Initially, this comment stung; I thought it made me less of an artist. Today, however, I fully embrace my style of image-making: striving to make photos that feel accessible and tangible to all audiences. Everyday, with a camera on hand, I am learning more and more about the craft of photography through picture-taking, creative direction, and editing. My goal is to engage with my own artistic curiosity while promoting the same spirit in those who view my photographs.
